2018-10-17

On Tuesday evening in Vilnius Congress Hall the second and the most recent part of Unseen Lithuania, a photo album that had achieved a great success, was presented. The author of the book Marius Jovaiša admitted that the second part would not existed right now if the first one had not been such a success. “I’ve been waiting for this day for almost 10 years. Since I published the first book, a long road started, which led me to the second album“, said M. Jovaiša.

Jovaiša.

According to the author, through many people’s efforts and enthusiasm, the pictures of what we, Lithuanians, most cherish and are proud of have been put together in one album. The book that was dedicated to the latest achievements in Lithuania presents by artistic photography the fields of scientific research, industrial innovation, information technology, radio electronics, smart design, robotics, lasers, optics and biotechnology. In the album (pages 64 and 328), you will find a concise description of our company and the picture of our building photographed by M. Jovaiša as well as the double-sided monocrystalline solar panel produced by ISC-Konstanz together with the partners of the Eco-Solar project. (Such solar panels absorb not only the direct sunlight but also reflected light from the ground and diffused light).

We are glad to note that two companies of the Global BOD Group, Soli Tek R&D and BRD, contributed to this exciting project. The exclusively designed book case has an integrated polycrystalline-type standard solar panel. A solution has been proposed to carry into effect a laser-engraved logo of the book to make it illuminate brightly. The coating of the entire logo was produced by our other company, BRD. As the author wished, a thin-film, mirrored, blue, 0.35 microns thick, anti-reflective coating having 50% blue light reflection was produced by a special recipe. The coating gave a semi-transparent mirror image and more glare for the glass.

“This is a unique project introducing Soli Tek R&D and BRD as the most innovative companies. It shows how much we can enjoy our achievements as true Lithuanian beacons and technological leaders in certain fields, as our companies were the only ones to develop these activities in the Baltic States”, said V. Janulevičius.

During the festive event, the following individuals from our group were honoured: Vidmantas Janulevičius, Julius Denafas, Vytautas Tuminas and Giedrė Šlepetytė.
